How to View Kitchen Delay in Sales Order Export CSV?
This feature is only applicable for merchants who are subscribed to the Applova Kitchen Display system
What is the Delay Duration (Minutes)?
The Delay Duration (Minutes) is a new column included in the Sales Order Export CSV that helps merchants measure how long an order was delayed in the kitchen compared to the average preparation time defined in the Merchant Portal. The delay duration is calculated using the following formula:
Delay Duration = Actual Preparation Time – Average Preparation Time
- The Actual Preparation Time: How long it takes from when the order is accepted until it’s marked as ready.
- The Average Preparation Time: The amount of time the merchant sets as an estimate for how long an order usually takes to be ready.
Use Case Scenario
At Fresh Squeeze Juice Bar, the operations manager exports the Sales Order CSV at the end of each day to review performance. The juice bar follows a fast-serve policy, aiming to prepare each order quickly and efficiently. With the new Delay Duration (Minutes) column:
Orders that finished on time show 0 in the column.
Orders delayed beyond the average preparation time show the exact number of minutes delayed.
Orders that were rejected or voided display N/A.
This helps the manager identify which juice orders take longer than expected to prepare, so adjustments can be made to maintain the bar’s quick-service standard.
