How to Connect the Star Printer (TSP143IV) to the Wi-Fi via the iOS Device?
Before proceeding with the following steps, ensure that you have completed the steps outlined in the article linked below.
Note that the printer cannot connect to a 5G network. Ensure that the network you're trying to connect to operates exclusively on 2.4G network.
Connecting the iOS Device to the Printer
If the printer is not connected to a network, then the SSID and the device name will be blank, and the green light will be blinking.
Step 1
Turn on the "Wi-Fi" of the mobile phone.
Step 2
Select the Wi-Fi connection with the name of the printer. (Example: TSP143IV)
Step 3
Download the "Star Quick Setup Utility" via the App Store to your mobile phone and open it.
Step 4
Tap on "Start Guide (Initial Settings)".
Step 3
Then tap on "Use Wireless LAN".
Step 5
Select the "MCW10" model out of the two options.
Step 6
Tap on "Next" four times.
Step 7
Follow the instructions that appear on the screen and tap on "Wireless LAN Unit Setup" to setup network configurations.
Step 8
Enter the SSID and the password of the network that the printer need to be connected to. Then tap on "Apply".
Now the printer is connected to the Wi-Fi.
When connecting to a new network connection, long press the Reset button located on the side of the MCW10, until the power LED starts blinking.
