Encrypted Device service not available Error for NMI API Key

Please follow the below steps if the NMI API Key that was generated gives an error as "Encrypted Device service not available".

You can enable this via your NMI Partner Portal.
You need to take the below actions while being in the Partner/Reseller view of the NMI Portal (Not the Merchant Signed-In View unlike the other steps in the NMI Process)
  1. Go to 'List Accounts', which lists your merchant accounts.
  2. From here, if you click on the particular merchant account name (which is linked), you'll be able to access that account's 'Account Details' section.
  3. Scroll down on that page to the 'Value Added Services' section, and click on 'Update Services' button.
  4. In the next screen you will be able to View the list of Value Added Services provided by NMI. On this screen, select the dropdown next to 'Encrypted Devices' and select 'Active', and then press 'Submit' button to make the changes.
  5. In the next screen, you would have to click on the checkbox and click on Proceed with the Pending Activations to fully activate this.
Encrypted Device Service which is required for the Terminal Payments Integration is a billable service from NMI, and the merchant/reseller will have to discuss the final pricing for the service with their NMI account manager, as those charges are made to NMI and not to Applova.

If you've already done the above steps, or you're not seeing the Update Services option, will you be able to write to support@nmi.com with your Partner ID and Merchant Account Name so that they can look into it.
